我们聚集在一起的使命是：传扬福音，建造门徒
The mission of our assembly is: Proclaiming the Gospel, Making the Disciples of Jesus Christ.

马太福音28章18-20节，主耶稣吩咐跟随他的门徒说：天上地下所有的权柄都赐给我了。所以，你们要去，使万民作我的门徒，奉父、子、圣灵的名给他们施洗。凡我所吩咐你们的，都教训他们遵守，我就常与你们同在，直到世界的末了。这是来自主耶稣的命令，也在教会历史上被称为“大使命”。我們遵守主耶穌基督的大使命，在地上傳揚福音，為要使更多人成為基督的門徒，離棄罪惡，悔改歸信，進入基督所賜的救恩中。
In Matthew 28:18-20, Lord Jesus commands his disciples “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” This is the Commandment of our Lord Jesus. It is also called the Great Commission in the Church’s history. We obey the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ, proclaiming the gospel on earth so that more people may become disciples of Christ, forsake sin, repent and believe, and enter into the salvation that Christ has given.

西北华人浸信会的异象宣言是：我们在地上的聚集是为了在地上彰显天国的荣耀。那是我们根据《马太福音》16章18-19节而领受的异象。那么，我们计划如何达成这一异象呢？我们的答案很简单：传扬福音，建造门徒。这包括：使一个从来不曾听闻福音的人听见福音，呼召一个曾经抵挡福音的人悔改归信，帮助一个初信徒的属灵生命成长，坚固一个软弱信徒的信心，勉励一个正在与罪争战的信徒，与一位正在经历苦难和悲伤的信徒一起祷告，警戒一个落在试探中的信徒，差遣一个成熟的信徒去成为门训别人的精兵，等等。简而言之，我们顺服并渴望有份于这天国荣耀的事工——使万民作基督的门徒。
The Vision Statement of NWCBC is: Our Gathering is to display the Glory of the heavenly kingdom on the earth. That is what we receive from the teaching of Matthew 16:18-19. So how do we achieve this vision? Our answer is simple: Proclaiming the Gospel, Making the Disciples of Jesus Christ. It includes: making an unreached person hear the gospel, calling an opposed person to repent and believe, helping a new believer to grow, strengthening a weak believer’s faith, encouraging a believer who is fighting against sin, praying with a believer who is suffering and sad, warning a believer who is falling in temptation, sending a mature believer to be the soldier of discipline, etc. In a word, we desire to be part of the glorious kingdom ministry – making disciples of Jesus Christ. 

根据主耶稣基督的教导，我们特别关注大使命中的两个重要元素：第一，施行合乎圣经的洗礼，使人加入并委身于教会中；第二，将基督所吩咐我们的，都忠心且完整地传讲，使人们遵守。在后现代的世代中，教会所面临的其中一个重大挑战和试探，就是从这大使命中偏离，将教会的使命重新聚焦于世俗事务之上，使教会在模糊了作为“天国君王在地上的代表“这一重要身份。求主帮助我们，使西北华人浸信会可以忠于这核心使命，使世人因我们的聚集而被那本不可见之天国及其君王的荣耀所吸引，与我们一同敬拜这位救主。
According to the teaching of our Lord Jesus, we especially pay attention to two key elements in this Great Commission: first, practicing biblical baptism so that people can join and commit to a local church; second, faithfully and completely proclaiming all the teachings that Christ taught us so that people will observe them. In the post-modern world, one of the big challenges and temptations that churches are facing is straying from the Great Commission, and making the mission of churches re-focus on secular programs, and that blurs the key identity of a local church, that is being the representative of the heavenly king on the earth. May God help us, so that NWCBC can be faithful to the core mission, that people can see the invisible glory of the kingdom through our gathering on the earth, and be attracted by this glory and then worship the Savior with us.
